A Shift Toward More Thoughtful Materials
The story of Wanuocraft's sustainable journey began with a simple question:
As the world became increasingly dependent on disposable plastics, could natural materials like bamboo and wood become part of a more thoughtful everyday lifestyle?
In 2017, as global conversations around environmental responsibility continued to grow, Jenny and Frank began exploring how traditional craftsmanship could evolve alongside modern sustainability needs. Rather than creating products that were simply "eco-friendly," they believed natural materials should also feel refined, functional, and beautifully designed.
This mindset led to early experimentation with bamboo product development and eventually to recognition at AsiaWorld-Expo in 2018, where one of Wanuocraft's bamboo concepts received the "Cool Design Award."
But more importantly, the experience revealed a larger opportunity.
As Wanuocraft started working with international brands and buyers, many clients shared a similar challenge: they had strong product ideas and brand visions, but lacked the technical development and manufacturing support needed to turn those concepts into scalable products.
That realization gradually reshaped the company's direction.
By combining product understanding, craftsmanship, and flexible OEM/ODM manufacturing capabilities, Wanuocraft evolved from a traditional woodcraft business into a long-term bamboo and wood solutions partner for brands across hospitality, gifting, retail, kitchenware, and modern living industries.
Today, the goal remains the same as it was in the beginning: to create products that feel natural, functional, and designed to last.
